where is everyone??

hello girlfriends...

ok... i was the last one to post on this blog and that was more than a month ago...where is everyone??...  i know i'm kinda sorta not doing as much as i should on my girls... but what about the rest of you??... is anyone still working on theirs??... 

Nicki... i know you SAID you were gonna bring your mermaid with you on vacation to the lake... but why do i have this feeling she went for the ride and didn't get worked on??????... lol.. (that's what i do with my projects when i take them on holiday)..

Elaine.. what about you??.. what are you working on??.. your mermaid or your pixie??..  which ever it is.. send me a pic and lets get her on the blog...

Patti... what did you decide to work on next??... and have you start on it yet????...

anyway... here's my updated picture of the Mermaids of the Deep Blue..  i didn't do a whole lot on her but i did get the fin on the girl on the left..  so that's a little progress..  i'll try to work harder on her in the next few weeks...

i think my mojo is returning... woohooo

heya ladies..

well i think my mojo is starting to come back.. at least a little.. i actually picked up my mermaid and did a little on her this week... not enough for a picture yet... but.. some.. lol... hopefully by next weeks posting i'll have something to show..    i even got up to the studio this weekend and worked on a couple of quilting projects too....

now ... the question is... how do i hold onto it??...  we go to Vegas on the 7th... and.. i'm afraid my mojo will decide to take another vacation too... lol... unfortunately... when it takes a vacation... it tends to take weeks and weeks.. and i can't afford to do that.. i have too much to do... i still have to make my dad's quilt for christmas.. as well as a bunch of other stuff..

Elaine... send me a pic of your little pixie..  (and your mermaid if you've done anything more on her lately.. ) i'll post that on here for you...  this blog doesn't have to be just for the mermaid cross stitch..  we can do other cross stitch things ... as well as some quilting stuff too...  it's just a ... for US blog.. so.. as far as i'm concerned... anything goes.. :D

Nicki... don't forget to pack your mermaid to go on vacation with you... that might be the only time you'll get to work on her for a while.. lol..  then post a pic...  let us see how she looks..

Patti... i want your Bali star quilt when you're done... you know my address... lol... it is absolutely breathtaking!!... i love it!... as for what cross stitch pic to start... well since you don't want to get tooo far ahead of us with your mermaids... why don't you start the christmas santa one.. hell at the rate the rest of us are going on our mermaids... and the speed you stitch at... you'll probably finish the santa one  before we get our first mermaids done... lol..

I Got Plenty Of Nuttin Too!!!

Hi Ladies,

I have to say that since Mikki arrived a month ago I haven't touched any xstitch at all. Do you know that a 12 week old puppy can unroll an entire roll of toilet paper all over the house in the time it takes to take a 5 minute shower!!!!!!!!!!! She's keeping me on my toes. In addition to her I have also taken up water aerobics and am going 6 times a week. Can you say OUCH!!!!! What part of my body doesn't hurt!!!!!!!!!!!

Well even though I haven't done any xstitch I have been working on this project for the last 4 months for a class. Thought you might like to see some pics of my Paper piecing bali wedding star quilt. I hope to finish this project up in the next month or two. I still have to add all the corners and then square it up, because I am adding a flying geese border. Yes, I did say flying geese border. I know that those words are 4 letter words to Sheryl. lol

So when I finish that up I will get back to xstitching again. Shall I work on the next Mermaid or start on the Miribilia xmas project. What do you ladies think?

hello girls..

i'm back from my trip to NY.. it was the trip from hell!.. but i had a good time with my sister.. but with all the drama going on.. i didn't do a stitch on any of my cross stitch pics... then ... when i got home.. i got sick.. and didn't feel like doing a damn thing... so my mermaids are unchanged...  i'm hoping to finish up my "Chickens?!" picture this week and then i'll get back to my mermaids..

elaine.. when you're ready.. just send me your updated mermaid blob pic and i'll post it for you...
nicki.. i know you've been busy and your mojo is not so good either at this time.. but.. hopefully you've been able to do a little.. show us a pic so we can cheer you on..

Im still here !

Im plugging away at my Mermaid every night...even if it is only two or three stitches !!! She hasnt changed much in the last week or so, SOOOO...I wont post a picture this time !!

Bad Nicki, Bad Nicki... so spank me!

Ok... I'm a bad girl and I know it. I could come here and post a million reasons why I'm so far behind on my mermaid but then you'd get tired of listening to my excuses so I won't bother. I will tell you that I am on my second attempt... the first time I screwed up the number of stitches in a row and didn't realize it until it was too late - tried to take it out but gave up and just started a new one. The good thing is ... I have a larger piece of fabric to work with and I have all my threads. So... I will get moving on this project and make ya'll proud. Hey - ya'll should be proud of me - Elaine even offered to give me her second one that she is working on to call my own but noooooooooo I need to do this myself. Thanks Elaine!

To say the least your mermaids are looking fabulous! Patti - I can't believe you have yours done already!!!! It turned out awesome - love the beads! Oh........ and love your cute little puppy too - waaaaa I want one!
