Im still here !

Im plugging away at my Mermaid every night...even if it is only two or three stitches !!! She hasnt changed much in the last week or so, SOOOO...I wont post a picture this time !!

Bad Nicki, Bad Nicki... so spank me!

Ok... I'm a bad girl and I know it. I could come here and post a million reasons why I'm so far behind on my mermaid but then you'd get tired of listening to my excuses so I won't bother. I will tell you that I am on my second attempt... the first time I screwed up the number of stitches in a row and didn't realize it until it was too late - tried to take it out but gave up and just started a new one. The good thing is ... I have a larger piece of fabric to work with and I have all my threads. So... I will get moving on this project and make ya'll proud. Hey - ya'll should be proud of me - Elaine even offered to give me her second one that she is working on to call my own but noooooooooo I need to do this myself. Thanks Elaine!

To say the least your mermaids are looking fabulous! Patti - I can't believe you have yours done already!!!! It turned out awesome - love the beads! Oh........ and love your cute little puppy too - waaaaa I want one!

Elaine sent me an updated picture of her Mermaid blob.. and i must say she's starting to look like she's getting a tail..  she's looking good Elaine!!.. keep up the good work!..

mermaids of the deep blue.. about half done..

i've been working hard on my mermaids of the deep blue.. and they are coming along... i probably more than half done now... there are hundreds and hundreds of beads on this thing... but i love the glimmer and shimmer...

i'm gonna post a close up of some of the beads in the body of the mermaids...  she just glows..  unfortunately it's kinda hard to get a good pic of them  and still let you see where they are..

i would love to see how elaines and nicki's are doing... elaine if you send me a pic... i'll post it for you... and nicki... i know you said you started over...  so you're way behind us... but we don't care... just post a pic of the blob and let us cheer you on!!...

Just thought I'd post a picture of the little sweetheart that is taking up all of my time now. Right now she's taking a nap so I can spend a little time by myself. (Thank goodness for naps!!!!!)

I had a 18 year old cairn terrier named Lady who I lost the day after xmas. I missed her very much. This is my new little girl Mikki. She is also a cairn terrier. She is 8 weeks old and weighs 2.4 lbs. How can anyone resist those eyes.

Mermaid of Atlantis- FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Ladies. I have finally finished my mermaid. Put the last few beads on this morning. I had a great time working on this. I will however, take a little time off, and let you ladies catch up. I have some other obligations to finish up on in the meantime. In addition to my new little baby Mikki. She is a sweetheart, but takes alot of time. I had forgotten what it felt like to get up at 5:30 am. How soon we forget!!!!!! Anyway I had such a good time with this one that in addition to the Mermaid of Pearl that I have I also ordered the Shimmering Mermaid and a santa claus design from Miribilia. Would love to see some pictures from some of you ladies. Take care.

Mermaid of Atlantis- Update

Hello Ladies,

Well as you can see, my mermaid is done. lol Not really. Fooled you. My mermaid's complete body is done. Have spent the last week adding the section where she is holding her treasure (whatever it is) ( I couldn't figure it out). You probably can't tell it, but it is almost all beads. Hundreds of them!!!!!!!!!!!

My next step will be to add the border, and then finish up the shell and fish in the upper right hand corner.

Nicki I sure would like to see your mermaid (hint, hint). Hope you are all getting a chance to work on yours. Would love to see pictures of your progress from all of you- even if it is a blob. You know that when blobs grow up they turn into beautiful shimmering Mermaids.
